Wake up one morning you realize
Your life is one big compromise
Stuck in the job you swore was only temporary

Feel like the world is passing you by
Never done all the things you would need to try
Stuck in one place, got a pain in your face from all your stressin’ out

You ask yourself there’s got to be more than what I’m living for
You ask yourself there’s got to be something else
Something more, more, more

Well let the sun shine on your face
And don’t let your life go to waste
Now is the time, got to make up your mind
Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

Feel like there’s nothing, nowhere to go
You try and fight but you can’t let go
Roll the pain, got so much to gain
Now is the time

You ask yourself there’s got to be something else
Something more, more, more

Well let the sun shine on your face
And don’t let your life go to waste
Now is the time, got to make up your mind
Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

You ask yourself there’s got to be more than what I’m living for
You ask yourself there’s got to be something else
Something more, more, more

Well let the sun shine on your face
And don’t let your life go to waste
Now is the time, got to make up your mind
Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

Well let the sun shine on your face
And don’t let your life go to waste
Now is the time, got to make up your mind
Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

Well let the sun shine on your face
And don’t let your life go to waste
Now is the time, got to make up your mind
Let it shine on you, let it shine on you

For too long it’s been pulling on your strings
And you just can’t seem to true back in
Struggling to find a resolving link
Leaving you more and more and more out of sync

Metronome please count me in
Give me a melody to sing

If I had the words to say I’d say them to you
If I had your notes to play I’d play them for you
If I could remove delay
I would make you a better day
If I had the tune to sing I’d sing it to you
If I could tie broken strings I’d tie them for you
I would fix more everything
If only I could do anything

If only…

Trapped inside the mechanics of a piano
Above the music you attempt to bellow,
“If only I could hear myself sing!”
As hammers smash your every string

I can’t imagine how you must feel
Metronome give time to heal

If I had the words to say I’d say them to you
If I had your notes to play I’d play them for you
If I could remove delay
I would make you a better day
If I had the tune to sing I’d sing it to you
If I could tie broken strings I’d tie them for you
I would fix more everything
If only I could do anything

If only…

The music stops, you hope and believe
But instead they all pack up and leave
You scream for them, “Please don’t go”
But the only response is your own echo

When you thought nothing could be sung
You find the strangling strings have just begun

If I had the words to say I’d say them to you
If I had your notes to play I’d play them for you
If I could remove delay
I would make you a better day
If I had the tune to sing I’d sing it to you
If I could tie broken strings I’d tie them for you
I would fix more everything
If only I could do anything

He’s felt what you feel
And through Him you will heal

Jesus has the words to say and He’ll say them to you
Jesus has your notes to play and He’ll play them for you
Jesus will remove delay
And He’ll make you a better day
Jesus has the tune to sing and He’ll sing it to you
Jesus will tie broken strings and He’ll make them brand new
He will fix more everything
Yet we don’t deserve anything

If you let Him…

Life is a masterpiece
Too big for us to see
Everything so intricate
Everything meant to be
Crafted by a love
Beyond our expectation
God, the artist
Made everything for a reason

We’re God’s masterpiece
Painted by His blood
Made to last forever
By His unconditional love

The least we can do is
Worship Him through our gifts
As we discover his grace
Our lives he lifts
Lifts the burdens from our backs
Cleans the mud from our eyes
And He will paint his portrait
Of the living Jesus in the skies

We’re God’s masterpiece
Painted by His blood
Made to last forever
By His unconditional love

Walking through that lonely crowd
Starring at you, the people surround
You may run and you may hide
But this lack of love always abides

What if love became a man?
What if he walked our streets?
Would we be too busy
Announcing our defeats?

If only we realised
This life we cannot conquer
We need a true love
One that lasts forever

True love has come and is here to stay
God’s autobiography shows us the way
Just let His love unlock your door
And He’ll show you there’s so much more
So much more,
So much more,
To live for.

He walks through that lonely crowd
They star at him and surround
He doesn’t run and doesn’t hide
To show His that always abides

God’s love became a man
And walked our streets for all of us
He carried the cross for our shame
And longs to knock down our guarded walls

If only we realised
This life we cannot conquer
We need a true love
One that lasts forever

True love has come and is here to stay
God’s autobiography shows us the way
Just let His love unlock your door
And He’ll show you there’s so much more
So much more,
So much more,
To live for.
